The gun-grabbers are FURIOUS — and you’re the reason why!

You see, the petitions, phone calls and emails from pro-Second Amendment patriots like you from all over Iowa are working.

Just days after State Senator Rick Bertrand (R-Sioux City) introduced the Iowa Stand-Your-Ground Bill (H.F. 52/S.F. 137), 24 cosponsors signed on.

That’s just two Senate votes shy of a Senate majority!

With anti-gun Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal still calling the shots in the Iowa Senate, you and I still have plenty of work to do.

But I believe, if you and I can generate a similar outpouring of support for Stand-Your-Ground in the Iowa House, it could create enough pressure on the Iowa Senate to break through the gun-grabbers’ logjam!

That’s why I’m counting on your action IMMEDIATELY.

As you’ll see, I’ve set up a special Stand-Your-Ground petitions lower in this email that I hope you’ll sign. More on that below.

These petitions urge your State Representative to cosponsor and vote to pass the Iowa Stand-Your-Ground Bill.

If passed, Stand-Your-Ground would state that law-abiding Iowa gun owners can defend themselves against attackers without fear of being targeted by an anti-gun prosecutor!

The truth is, Iowa’s lack of a Stand-Your-Ground Law is a big reason why Guns and Ammo Magazine says there are only 12 states across America with worse gun laws.

Without Stand-Your-Ground, many gun owners who use their firearms to fend off a criminal attack often find they’re little more than sitting ducks.

Many pro-gun control prosecutors, anxious to appear “tough on gun crime,” especially if they are seeking future political office, often find that Second Amendment supporters are easy targets.

Just take the case of Jay Rodney Lewis in 2012.
Mr. Lewis was a concealed carry permit holder, a former security officer and ex-law enforcement official.

After using a gun to defend himself from attack by two thugs — one with over 40 criminal convictions going back 15 years — Mr. Lewis spent 112 days in jail before finally being found innocent.

But in the meantime, Mr. Lewis lost his home and most of his possessions — including his gun collection.

This is simply OUTRAGEOUS.

But it shouldn’t be a surprise, considering Iowa’s current law — which was written to protect CRIMINALS first.

I don’t know about you, but I believe the law should put the interests of law-abiding Iowa citizens ahead of thugs and madmen.

And as a former cop, I can tell you the LAST thing you want to be worrying about in a situation where there are lives on the line is the “good will” of some anti-gun prosecutor or judge.

So please take a moment and sign your petition in support of Stand-Your-Ground law!

The good news is, just forcing a vote on Stand-Your-Ground legislation puts you and me in a win/win situation.

That’s because there’s no vote the gun-grabbers in BOTH parties fear more.

If you and I can pass Stand-Your-Ground through the Iowa House, anti-gun Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal will realize he either has to allow the bill to pass the Senate, or watch his majority go up in smoke in the next election.

But that all begins with ramping up the numbers of House cosponsors to H.F. 52.
