As you know, Iowa Gun Owners recently asked our members to sign our ‘Second Amendment Turnout Pledge,’ promising to support only pro-gun candidates in the upcoming elections.

Everyone who signed their pledge, whether online or through the mail, was automatically entered to win a FREE SIG P229 from Iowa Gun Owners.

I’m pleased to announce that the winner of this incredible firearm — the very piece carried by members of the United States Secret Service as they protect the President — is Timothy Griggs, from Marengo!

We have reached out to Timothy to give him the good news, and expect to meet with him to give him this gun in the near future.

Iowa is certainly at a crossroads right now, and our gun rights hang in the balance.

National publications from Politico to the Cook Political Report and others rank our gubernatorial race as a ‘tossup,’ and downgrade from ‘leans Republican’ earlier this year.

At the Congressional level, both David Young and Rod Blum are reportedly trailing aggressive anti-gun opponents.

These races are sure to have impact on down-ballot State House and State Senate races and it’s vital that gun owners get ready to fight to expose anti-gun candidates.

Iowa Gun Owners is in the midst of both our gubernatorial and legislative survey program, and we will be updating you with results as they come in.
