As soon as today, the US Senate could be voting on whether or not to approve Loretta Lynch as your next Attorney General.

This is a battle that has been dragging on for months and it’s reaching a fevered pitch.

Of course, all gun owners know about the virtual non-stop litany of 2nd Amendment related abuses that have been foisted upon the country by current Attorney General Eric Holder.

Whether it be his relentless attack on Stand-Your-Ground law, his mismanagement (at best) of the Fast and Furious scandal that cost American lives, or his utter contempt of the Constitution in general – Eric Holder shows what happens when the Senate rubber stamps Obama’s nominees.

That’s why I need you to take a moment and contact Iowa’s Senators Charles Grassley and Joni Ernst right away and make sure they hold the line on Loretta Lynch!

Those who oppose Lynch’s nomination are being label racists, obstructionists, and more, and some of the “No” votes from a month or two ago are starting to waiver.

That’s why I hope you’ll call Senators Grassley and Ernst and insist that they stay strong and oppose Loretta Lynch’s nomination to be the Attorney General.

Already Lynch has made it clear that she supports Obama’s attempt to ban many types of semi-auto firearms, by executive fiat if necessary.

She also dodged questions on the Fast and Furious scandal, giving us no reason to believe that she’s going to put a stop to these programs, going forward, that saw thousands of guns flood into the hands of the violent drug cartels just south of the American border.

More, she supports and personally ran an aggressive civil asset forfeiture program in her capacity as a US Attorney in New York. These scams force law abiding Americans to go to court to prove that their property actually belongs to them.

This process has been used against gun owners time and time again.

So please call Iowa Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst right now!

Our allies in DC report to us that Lynch likely doesn’t have the 60 votes needed to be confirmed under Senate Rule 22.

President Obama knows this and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid knows this too.

That’s why the real fight in Washington is going to be over whether or not the Senate Leadership will buckle to Harry Reid’s cheat-scheme to allow Lynch’s nomination to be secured with a simple majority of 51 votes instead of 60.

It’s pretty simple.

Assuming Lynch gets 51 or more votes, a Senator could invoke Senate rules to ‘challenge the rule of the chair’ and move that instead of requiring approval from 3/5 of the Senate, her nomination be approved by a simple majority.

If the Senate votes to suspend rule 22 – then Obama and Reid get their way and 51 votes would be sufficient.

It’s called the ‘nuclear option’ and it’s been done for some time now by Harry Reid and his gun-grabbing pals in DC.

So when you speak with Senator Grassley and Ernst be sure to tell them that in addition to voting “No” to Lynch, they need to oppose and vote against any scheme to suspend rule 22 that would see Lynch be approved with a simple majority.

Time is of the essence as this vote could happen as early as TODAY.

Lynch – who supports Obama’s desire to ban modern semi-auto rifles, refused to condemn current Attorney General Eric Holder’s Fast and Furious program which released thousands of guns into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels, and supports the use of draconian ‘civil asset forfeiture’ laws to harass gun owners – is clearly an anti-gun puppet to be used by President Obama.
