Happy Easter from Iowa Gun Owners!
We hope you get a chance to celebrate this marvelous day with your family, friends, and your church.
Easter is a Christian holiday where we celebrate the triumph of Christ over sin and death and remember His victorious sacrifice that secured the payment for our sins before almighty God!
Charles Carroll, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, said that Easter:
“Inspired me with the hope of finding mercy before my Judge, and of being happy in the life to come — a happiness I wish you to participate with me by infusing into your heart a similar hope.”
Another signer of the Declaration, Benjamin Rush, said Easter “intended to show that the Son of God died, not only to reconcile God to man but to reconcile men to each other.”
Like most of our Founding Fathers, we are Christians here at Iowa Gun Owners, and we know that a lot of our members and supporters are too.
Our Christian faith is more than something to celebrate at Christmas or Easter, it’s the backstop for every one of the freedoms that we enjoy in this country.
Despite what the Left would have us believe, the government is not the originator of our Second Amendment rights. Nor is the Constitution or the United States Supreme Court.
We believe that our rights are endowed on us by God alone, just like our Founding Fathers did.
That’s why we fight for our Second Amendment freedoms with such ferocity and without apology. Because having been set free from the tyranny of our sin, we will not submit to tyranny of any other kind!
He is risen indeed.
