As the battle for the Second Amendment rages on in the State Legislature, I know we’ve asked a lot of you over the last couple of weeks.
All of your calls, emails, and facebook messages to your Senators have advanced Stand-Your-Ground law (S.F. 137) to within just two votes of passage in the State Senate!
Nervous anti-gun incumbent Senators now have to make a choice: do we maintain Senator Gronstal’s blockade on the Second Amendment, or do we vote for pro-gun legislation in an attempt to salvage our re-election efforts later on this fall?
Your pressure is working!
But this fight is far from over, and we will be asking much more of you in the weeks that follow.
In the meantime, we want to say thank you for your activism by announcing our latest gun giveaway!
Iowa Gun Owners is pleased to announce that we are giving away a Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16, chambered in .308Win!
This incredible rifle is patterned after the famous M14 military battle rifle, and it features:
- A two stage military trigger
- A military style peep sights, with an enlarged “ghost-ring” rear sight and a tritium dot front sight
- A picatinny rail to mount your favorite optics on
- A black synthetic stock
- A very manageable 16 inch barrel
- A 10 or 20 round box magazine
That’s right, the SOCOM 16 is capable of handling 20 rounds of powerful .308 ammunition.
These are the exact type of magazines that Representative Ako Abdul-Samad and his cohorts in the Iowa Legislature are seeking to make illegal here in Iowa!
More than that, if House File 70 were to become law, it would make you a FELON for selling or transferring any magazine in Iowa capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition!
That’s why I hope you register to win this firearm and then encourage all of your friends to do the same.
Whatever happens this legislative session, one thing is certain: Iowa Gun Owners will aggressively be about the business of exposing anti-gun legislators in targeted districts when we get into the 2016 elections.
We need to mobilize as many gun owners as possible to be successful in making gun grabbers in Des Moines pay a price for their betrayal of our gun rights.
Gun giveaways like this one are a great way of doing that.
That’s why I hope you’ll sign up to win this incredible rifle right now!
Of course, no serious self-defense rifle would be complete without a fantastic set of optics mounted on top of it.
That’s why, in addition in giving away the SOCOM 16 self-defense rifle, Iowa Gun Owners will also be giving away a Leupold VXR 2-7×33 scope to go along with it.
Gun owners around the world know about the quality of Leupold scopes, and this one features the “Ballistic Fire Dot Illumined Reticle” to ensure your shots find their target all day long.
This rifle/scope combo package is valued at almost $3000 -– but we will be giving it away to one lucky Iowan.
The registration window will close on this incredible giveaway at midnight on April 15, 2016, and the drawing will take place that following Monday.
Gun activists like you and me have worked hard over the last couple of years to put a series of pro-gun bills in play in the Iowa Legislature only to have them stymied time and again by a handful of anti-gun legislators in the Iowa State Senate.
Help us hold them accountable for their actions by mobilizing as many gun activists as possible going into the 2016 elections by signing up for this incredible giveaway and encouraging all your pro-gun friends to do the same thing.
Good Luck!
For Freedom,
Aaron Dorr
Executive Director
