Gun grabbers in Des Moines are starting to panic.
You see, no one thought that Constitutional Carry would pick up 7-8 cosponsors when it was filed this year — much less 18!
And capitol insiders were convinced that this bill would never be assigned to a sub-committee — much less a sub-committee featuring multiple pro-gun legislators!
But now that our Constitutional Carry (S.F. 2106) bill will be heard before a Senate Sub-Committee THIS THURSDAY, the anti-gun lobby is going to do everything they can to stop us.
That’s why I hope you’ll consider coming out to the Capitol this Thursday to stand with Senator Bertrand and myself — not to mention other pro-gun lawmakers — as the sub-committee takes up this bill!
All the information you need is below.
Time: 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Room: 22 (This is one the second floor, behind the Senate chamber.)
Guys, this one is important.
Everyone knows that gun owners are largely responsible for giving Iowa a pro-gun majority in both chambers of the legislature for the first time since the 1990’s.
In addition, everyone knows that we’re not guaranteed to have these pro-gun majorities forever.
That’s why it’s essential that we move the ball as far down the field as we can, while we have the votes to get it done.
Lawmakers in over a dozen states have already added Constitutional Carry protections to the books, knowing that future generations are counting on us.
We’ve accomplished a lot with the passage of Stand-Your-Ground law last year, but Constitutional Carry remains.
So if you can join us THIS THURSDAY in Des Moines, I would really appreciate it.
And if you can’t, please help make sure we have the resources we need for the expected floor fight!
Michael Bloomberg never backs down.
In Idaho, where anti-gun lawmakers are almost non-existent, Bloomberg ran a huge media effort to stop Constitutional Carry when it passed there in 2016.
When Missouri enacted Constitutional Carry in 2016, Bloomberg blanketed the state with radio, internet, and newspaper ads — trying to shut the bill down.
As this bill advances through the committee process, red alerts will be going off in Bloomberg’s NYC office, and he’s certain to spend heavily to try to defeat us.
That’s why we’re already working to prepare for a state-wide media blitz, just like we’ve done before.
But again, if you can make it to the legislature on Thursday, we’d love to see you.
For Freedom,
Aaron Dorr
Executive Director
P.S. Constitutional Carry legislation is on the move, and is slated to be heard before a Senate Sub-Committee THIS THURSDAY!
The specific information is listed above.
As a supporter of Iowa Gun Owners, you are invited to come down to the statehouse and participate in or just observe the sub-committee — and meet pro-gun lawmakers like Senator Bertrand and others.
Either way, I hope you know that we’re bracing for an all-out war as this bill moves through the committee process and a likely Senate floor action.
