By now you’ve likely heard about the special deal we are running for the month of July.
In celebration of the 4th of July — and the freedoms that we enjoy as Americans — Iowa Gun Owners has put together a special offer for all new or renewed memberships during the month of July!
More about that in a moment.
First, I wanted to take a moment to let you know the status of the gun rights movement in Iowa, and why it’s so critical that you get involved in this fight.
You see, it was just two years ago when Iowa Gun Owners members rammed Stand-Your-Ground law through the legislature as a part of the largest gun bill to pass in Iowa history!
But that was then.
Now, with Republicans in Iowa and across the country demanding ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation, all bets are off in the fight for gun control.
And thanks to tremendous assistance from the media, the gun control momentum in Iowa is growing at a rapid pace!
You see, today’s gun-grabbers aren’t looking to tinker around the edges; they want to do nothing less than obliterate our Second Amendment freedoms!
Just some of what they are asking for includes:
>>> A complete ban on any magazine that holds over 10 rounds;
>>> Creation of a total firearms registry here in Iowa, via their ‘universal background check’ program;
>>> A complete ban on the AR-15 and hundreds of similar firearms, likely the most popular firearm in the state;
>>> Passage of ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation, which allows you to be stripped of your firearms in secret, with no chance to defend yourself;
>>> Repeal of our hard-won ‘Stand-Your-Ground’ law!
And these are just the ones being talked about in the statehouse.
Anti-gun activists are calling for a citizen’s commission to be formed, where you would have to pay $500 to have this commission decide if you are able to own a firearm, based on a perusal of your social media activity!
Now, thankfully none of this legislation became law in 2019 thanks to your activism.
But this roar for gun control was successful at blocking our efforts to make Iowa the next Constitutional Carry state, too, during a year when three other states passed this identical legislation!
And let me tell you, this war against gun owners is only going to heat up.
That’s why we need every Iowan who cares about the Second Amendment to stand with us now, so that we have the resources we need to effectively FIGHT BACK!

Before we know it, the 2020 legislative session will be here, and with it, the war against gun owners will resume.
